Galerie Gisela Clement, Bonn - until January 31, 2027
Extended until 31.1.27! Judith Samen presents a comprehensive retrospective of photographic works and installations from the years 1998 to 2025 in her first solo exhibition at the Gisela Clement Gallery in Bonn.
New works created during her two-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2025 are being shown together for the first time in an exhibition. The multi-part work "Bunker," created in the same year, explores location and memory in its engagement with the interior of a historic air-raid shelter in Wuppertal. Samen's earliest works, "Teaching Image of Fauna" and "Teaching Image of Flora," both from 2000, combine her photographic and drawing talents and are being reunited after a long hiatus.
